The current refugee crisis and the apparent inability of some people to be moved by such tragic situations leave me speechless. The inability of some people to empathise with those violently uprooted from their everyday, with those treated miserably while chaotically looking for a solution, leaves me in tears. It truly does. While I have never been a refugee, I have long been a ‘forever migrant’. Below a couple of pages from #AffectiveTourism through which I try to empathise with those brutally uprooted and viciously misunderstood. My experience is not by any means comparable with that of refugees. I cannot possibly claim to understand their plight, but I can surely try to be in sympathy with them.
