I’ve never chosen another citizenship, another passport. But I haven’t lived in Romania since 2001, so the term home is, for me, pretty fluid. My roots are in Romania and will always be in Romania.
Waar is thuis? Voor mij is thuis in een van de acht landen waarin ik heb gewoond. Ik heb altijd gereisd met een Roemeens paspoort, dat gaat niet veranderen. Ik heb nooit gekozen voor een andere nationaliteit, voor een ander paspoort. Maar ik heb sinds 2001 niet meer in Roemenië gewoond, zodat de term thuis voor mij behoorlijk fluïde is. Mijn wortels liggen in Roemenië en zullen altijd in Roemenië liggen.
